NEW EVENTS IN N. I. S.

All members Nationwide can now interact and have an online feel of what's going on in other States within days. Wonderful news will be featured on this website on a daily basis.
Please keep a date with us on this website. It will educate as well as inform all that care to peep in regularly as time could permit them.
We are also ready to receive contribution from members to improve the site as well as the contents in it.

WORLD GIS DAY

The World GIS day was marked in Nigeria with a day Seminar that was organised by Surv. Tony Adeoye of Antony Adeoye & Associates in Lagos on the 29th of November, 2002, at the Ikeja Hotel along Obafemi Awolowo road. Ikeja. was well attended by participants from all over the World

Many Surveyors were in attendace and the presentations are of immense benefit to all practioners in Surveying.


LAGOS STATE BRANCH

Lagos State Branch of the Nigerian Institution of Surveyors also co-organise with the State Government, the World Environment Day on the 29th of November 2002.
The Step taken by the Lagos State Branch is a loudable one and should be emulated by all State Branches to boast the image of the Surveyors.

RIVERS STATE BRANCH

The River state Branch of The Nigerian Institution of Surveyors marked her end of the Year Activities with a Dinner on the 6th of December, 2002.
The ocassion was graced by emminent Nigerian in and outside the fold of Surveying. They include the Executive Chairman of the NDDC Chief Ugochukwu, Surv. (Prof.) Fajemirokun (FNIS, PPNIS), Surv. (Prof.) Fubara and Chairmen of other sister professionals in the State.

Representatives from all the State Branches were also there to grace the occasion.

REACTIONS FROM MEMBERS

The Nigerian Institution of Surveyors is now ready to receive reaction from members and treat such reaction in both executive and Council meetings for effective reolution of such conflicting decisions taking at either the AGM or at State Executive meetings.
The idea is not meant in any way to downturn the executive decision at National or State level but to create a conduicive enviroment for a meaningful dialogue between parties. These, we hope will bring better understanding of the operation of the Institution.
